SAP is the world’s leading ERP company and is currently also the company with the largest market capitalisation in Germany.
The majority of the big companies trust this business system to manage it’s financial processes, logistics of production and human resources, among other functions
However, the SAP integration with third-party applications continues to be a challenge, especially with regard to treasury software and connections to banking interfaces
In many cases, these integrations are based on rudimentary and inefficient connections, which do not even allow data to be extracted in real time. This represents a major drawback for treasury management in large organisations. However, the digital transformation has driven the automation of these tasks, allowing them to be performed increasingly in real time.
This is where the Invictia connector, a Brait product, comes in.
Thanks to this direct integration with SAP, Invictia streamlines and optimises treasury management, allowing banking reconciliation in real time and improving financial visibility without depending on manual processes.
Below, we explain how this connector works and its integration with our Embat platform.
Invictia is an add-on developed by Brait for SAP that acts as a connector, facilitating integration between the ERP and various banking platforms and specialized treasury software.
Through Invictia, the businesses can connect with its ERP with treasury management software, such as Embat, to obtain real-time accounting and business information
The integration of Invictia with SAP automates key functions of treasury management like the creation of master data, sending financial transactions, and receiving payment information.
Specifically, this API enables synchronous communication between SAP and banking platforms, ensuring secure connections via web services (SSL). This connectivity can be direct or through middleware (an intermediary software that facilitates communication between two different systems), with all connections initiated by SAP (outbound), providing a robust security layer.
This AddOn is compatible with both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, and since it is built in ABAP, it is easy to maintain and extend. In addition, it is easy to install and requires no additional SAP notes.
The Invictia connector synchronizes a series of master data from SAP to the corresponding software, such as Embat. These are:
In addition, all transactional data on the outstanding portfolio of customers and suppliers and other data necessary for treasury accounting will be sent.
Finally it is important to note that this communication is bidirectional. On the one hand, SAP sends the accounting information and existing master data in its ERP and Embat sends the updated data, for example, when the banks reconciliation is performed. In this way, data is synchronised between both environments at all times and in real time.
Embat's integration with SAP through Invictia's connector offers multiple benefits for treasury management, making the reconciliation process faster, more accurate and less labor-intensive. Some of the main advantages include:
Invictia's connector for SAP is more than just an add-on; it is a strategic tool for companies looking to optimize their treasury management processes. By automating key tasks such as master data synchronization, real-time bank update and payment reconciliation, Embat significantly reduces the administrative burden on finance teams.
Its seamless integration with SAP makes it a natural choice for companies that rely on this ERP to manage their financial operations, providing them with the tools they need to stay agile in an ever-changing marketplace.
By leveraging real-time banking insights, reducing manual processes and incorporating AI-powered reconciliation, Embat enables companies to operate with greater transparency, accuracy and efficiency.
