SAP is the world’s leading ERP system and the largest publicly traded company in Germany by market capitalisation.
Most large companies rely on this system to manage financial, logistics, production, and human resources processes, among others.
However, integrating SAP with third-party applications remains a challenge, particularly in treasury software and banking interfaces.
In many cases, these integrations rely on outdated and inefficient connections that do not allow for real-time data access. This poses significant issues for treasury management in large organisations.
Digital transformation, however, has accelerated the automation of these processes, enabling more tasks to be performed in real time.
This is where the Invictia Connector, a product by Brait, becomes a game-changer.
Thanks to its direct integration with SAP, Invictia simplifies and optimises treasury management by enabling real-time bank reconciliation and improving financial visibility without relying on manual processes.
Below, we explain how this connector works and how it integrates with the Embat platform.
Invictia is an add-on developed by Brait for SAP that acts as a connector, facilitating integration between the ERP and various banking platforms and specialised treasury software.
Through Invictia, businesses can connect their ERP with treasury management software, such as Embat, to obtain real-time accounting and business information.
The integration of Invictia with SAP automates key treasury management functions like the creation of master data, sending financial transactions, and receiving payment information.
Specifically, this API enables synchronous communication between SAP and banking platforms, ensuring secure connections via web services (SSL). This connectivity can be direct or through middleware (an intermediary software that facilitates communication between two different systems), with all connections initiated by SAP (outbound), providing a robust security layer.
This add-on is compatible with both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA. Since it is built in ABAP, it is easy to maintain and extend. In addition, it is straightforward to install and requires no additional SAP notes.
The Invictia connector synchronises a series of master data from SAP to the corresponding software, such as Embat. This includes:
Business partners: Both the customer's payables and receivables, at the company code level. All suppliers and customers are created with the corresponding contact information.
Additionally, all transactional data on the outstanding portfolio of customers and suppliers, along with other data necessary for treasury accounting, is transmitted.
Finally, it is important to note that this communication is bidirectional. SAP sends the accounting information and existing master data in its ERP, while Embat updates SAP with synchronised data, for instance, when bank reconciliation is performed. In this way, data remains aligned across both environments at all times and in real-time.
Embat's integration with SAP through Invictia's connector offers multiple benefits for treasury management, making the reconciliation process faster, more accurate, and less labour-intensive. Some of the main advantages include:
Invictia's connector for SAP is more than just an add-on; it is a strategic tool for companies aiming to optimise their treasury management processes. By automating key tasks such as master data synchronisation, real-time bank updates, and payment reconciliation, Embat significantly reduces the administrative burden on finance teams.
Its seamless integration with SAP makes it a natural choice for companies relying on this ERP to manage their financial operations, equipping them with the tools needed to stay agile in an ever-changing marketplace.
By leveraging real-time banking insights, minimising manual processes, and incorporating AI-powered reconciliation, Embat empowers companies to operate with greater transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.
